The quickest (1.16-second 60-foot) and fastest (4.41 at 173 mph) eighth-mile four-wheel-drive diesel truck in the world is for sale. These records, set in 2023, still stand today. But there’s a noteworthy caveat: it doesn’t include the engine. Put another way, it’s a turnkey race truck, minus the thing under the hood that made it fast. However, all the parts to take a potential buyer into the 4.40s are included: 9-inch custom axles, Rossler TH400, SCS transfer case, driveshafts, freshly certified 25.6 cage, and much more.

For $75,000, Derek Rose of DNR Customs is once again attempting to sell his infamous electric blue third-gen 2006 Dodge Cummins truck affectionately known as BlueBallz. From a wrecked regular cab sad truck to record-holding king, Rose says the truck has “been almost everywhere in the country where an event was held the past 10 years.”

How will this play out? We see several outcomes. First, it’s possible no one will bite, and Rose will be stuck with the record-setting diesel truck instead of the cashola he hopes to turn it into. He’ll part it out while it sits in his barn (we’re guessing there’s a barn). Eventually it’ll return to earth as part of a motocross track berm. Second, a big-name in the diesel world will buy it, build it, and try to steal Rose’s records. Muahahaha. No pressure. Feelings and egos will be hurt, and the popcorn will be a-flowin. Theoretically, someone could replicate the Freedom Racing Engines Cummins and go fast(er). Third, someone could buy it as an attention-getting prop. Maybe it’ll end up in a museum or in some rich dude’s car collection. After all, it looks fast even with an empty engine bay. Fourth, maybe WhistlinDiesel or some other YouTuber will buy it and turn it into a high-performance potato launcher. Only time will tell as to what will happen to this truck—and where its engine will end up.
