When you work at a performance shop, you never really know what someone is going to bring you. The majority of your customers are bringing in production based vehicles that they have modified. Sure, many of the guys are modifying them with the same basic recipe: air intake, tuner and exhaust. But then you have the guys who take it one step further and start to change injectors, turbochargers, transmissions and the list can go on and on. To make things even more complex, if you take into consideration the different years, models and makes, you basically just never know what is going to roll through the door.

For GOS Performance out of Livingston Montana, variety is always welcome. Even so, every now and then something REALLY different rolls through the door. Recently they received a couple vehicles from Yellowstone National Park . According to GOS Performance’s Facebook, these are tracked vehicles that are designed to take people to and from Old Faithful.

1490892_741775612516389_1648917730_oThese vehicles were dropped off to have GOS Performance do their tuning magic to improve their fuel economy and give them a little more power. In addition to increasing their power, they are, also, having GOS Performance add a few gauges and do some custom intake work.

We at Diesel Army are awfully interested to see if they end up taking them out on the highway and test them to ensure the work was done right. After all, without a test drive, it is hard to verify everything is working right. Not like you can put the truck up on the dyno and spin the rollers.
