A Transmission Upgrade Every Truck Owner Can Use

transmission upgrade

As “heavy-duty” as pickup trucks are today, according to the internet, they all have an inherent weakness, the transmission. Luckily, there are several upgrades available for just about any transmission. But if you want to save the hassle of locating and acquiring parts, and then installing all those parts,  RevMax has the solution. Maybe it’s time you took a look at RevMax the Signature Series transmission upgrade.

The Signature Series transmissions are available for Ford, Chevy, and Ram, and although the Signature Series is available with horsepower ratings ranging from 550 to 1,000, we’ll take a deep dive into the 1,000 model of the Signature series.

RevMax builds each transmission to the most stringent tolerances, so you do not have to worry about something going wrong. A single technician handles the build from beginning to end, and when they are finished, the person who built it signs each unit. To handle the extreme power it’s rated for, the Signature 1,000 includes an array of billet parts, including the input shaft, input clutch housing, underdrive and overdrive hubs, and a billet Stage 5 triple-disc torque converter. Alto Red Eagle clutches with Kolene steels, a high-pressure pump, and a custom-calibrated valve body are fitted inside.

A strong transmission starts with strong internals, and RevMax delivers.

The signature 1,000 is made special with phosphate-coated steels, clutches, and custom snap rings. Made from two billet aluminum pieces, the drums are anodized to prevent premature wear. Pressure plates are cut from solid billets, and a 300M input shaft is used.

RevMax machines all Signature Series 1,000 input drums in-house. The billet drums are the backbone of the Signature line of transmissions. Increasing the diameter of the drum is what allows for the additional surface area, which increases the transmission’s holding capacity.

The triple-disc torque converter features a billet front cover, a 4130 chromoly impeller hub, hardened turbine hub and splines, high-performance Torrington bearings, and a billet stator bearing cap. Finally, a valve body dyno is used to test each valve body assembly before it is installed in the transmission. Before leaving the RevMax shop, each transmission is tested for hydraulic and performance integrity on an AMI hydraulic test stand.

When you’re ready for a transmission upgrade, check out RevMax’s Signature Series. They have a model for every budget and need.
