Brenton Productions announced that its automotive how-to productions, “Two Guys Garage” and “Truck U,” will begin airing on Great American Country (GAC) cable network beginning August 24.
“Two Guys Garage and Truck U has a cult following of loyal fans that will move with us to our new home at GAC,” said John Passante, president and CEO, Brenton Productions. “For the past three years, GAC has been one of the fastest growing channels and embodies the American lifestyle that so many of our viewers embrace. GAC provides us with more weekend morning time slots for a single episode of our programs to be viewed which will benefit both viewers and advertisers. We believe our proven formula of entertaining, informative how-to programming for car and truck enthusiasts will fit nicely with GAC’s growth into automotive content.”
Great American Country is available in more than 63 million homes and is owned by Scripps Networks Interactive, the leading developer of lifestyle-oriented content for television and the Internet. In addition to being aired and promoted on GAC, “Two Guys Garage” and “Truck U” will be actively promoted across all Scripps networks including HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel.
“As we expand and celebrate even more of the American experience, we’re looking to the interests of our viewers and how they define that space. Two Guys Garage and Truck U have a strong fan base across America and we feel the hosts and the how-to automotive enthusiasts will find a home on Great American Country,” said Sarah Trahern, general manager of Great American Country.
Frank McGonagle, the founder and chairman of Brenton Productions, added, “Our relationship with the GAC team is a true partnership both in developing quality programming and its efficient widespread distribution on this popular network.”
“Two Guys Garage” is hosted by Kevin Byrd and Willie B, while “Truck U” features the talents of Matt Steele and Bruno Massel. All the hosts are automotive experts who help viewers, whether they maintain their own vehicles or utilize the services of a professional mechanic, learn something new that they can put into practice on their own existing projects.
