It had a 6.7 Cummins backed by a 6spd manual and the chassis was a 4wd dually. Sadly, the Dodge had a tree fall on the cab totaling it out with only 70,000 original miles.

The 1977 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT Crew Cab is a super clean original truck (2wd). The owner bought a few years ago. The truck has always been Ford blue, all the interior carpet and seats are original and in great shape. When purchased, the truck had 77,000 original miles on it. Basically, the Ford cab and interior were transplanted

The outside finish appears to be in great shape but is an older paint job that has a few nicks. It still presents itself very well. It’s fitted with a new ’73-’75 grill shell an new front bumper with fog lights.

The structure and upgrades have been done with the utmost care. The chassis has all new fluids, brakes, shocks, u-joints, and a free spin hub conversion on the front.

formmins_2Taking a peak into the engine modifications you will find a 6.7 Cummins with all the deletes powering this beast with a new five-inch exhaust piping from the turbo back. A new radiator and A/C condenser have been custom fitted along with an intercooler. Keeping this engine under control a H&S Performance Mini Max programmer has been installed providing the tuning ability necessary to adjust power as needed. To ensure that truck isn’t pushed too hard, an EGT probe has been added in the exhaust manifold. This truck has all Dodge wiring and electronics throughout including a gauge cluster that has been custom fitted into the original Ford dash. Behind the engine, is a South Bend double disk clutch to ensure the extra power is being sent back to the rear wheel.

This truck has been built for pulling not just driving around and looking pretty. With that in mind, 3.73 gears were installed. The bed is a C&M Truck Beds (92″ wide by 102″ long) with a gooseneck hitch complete with trailer plugs and trailer brake controller inside the cab. The bed and frame were recently repainted to keep them looking as good as the cab. All of this truck and muscle is rolling on new Bridgestone 225-19.5 tires on new aluminum 19.5 wheels.

The truck, recently appraised at $60K comes is titled as a 1977 Ford and the title is clean and clear. Historic plates have been added to save fees. This truck also comes with a Dodge salvage title. According to the owner, he has a clear Indiana title in hand for the new owner.

Basically, from what we can tell is that this is one cool looking old truck. Kind of offers the best of both worlds, great looking styling with modern power.
