Today, another one of our editors sent us over this video of a pretty terrifying sled pulling accident. During a National Traction Pulling Association event in Tomah, Wisconsin, pilot of the hot-rod tractor “Buck Fever”, Bill Preuss, made it out safe. As scary as it is, these things can happen. This is why it is important to always have your safety gear installed and intact prior to performing in either sled pulling or drag racing.
It has been said that the chassis, or frame, was previously cracked and mended back together. This isn’t confirmed, but if it’s true, it was only a matter of time before it broke again. Luckily for Preuss, and the innocent bystanders watching, this is all that happened. What are the wildest things you’ve seen at a sled pulling event? Let us know in the comments below.
