It seems as if all of the large motorsports-related YouTube channels are picking up diesel-powered machines to add to their fleets. For quite some time, Cleetus McFarland has been upgrading and ripping it up in his old Cummins-powered ’65 Ford Galaxie. After we rang in the new year this year, Westen Champlin joined the club.
Champlin’s 2017 Ford Mustang is equipped with a compound turbocharged 12-valve Cummins. What started as a wrecked car has slowly evolved into a pretty car (when it had a hood). Both McFarland and Champlin have their respective audiences and when they both managed to get into the diesel scene, this was a collab that both comment sections wanted.
Well, after a year of content creation, enough tags in posts, and comments in videos, they finally met. It was time for the faceoff. McFarland’s old-school Galaxie versus the late model Mustang with some serious power under the hood.
