Basically, KC Turbos used this trusty Ford F-250 Super Duty for CARB testing and no longer needs it. Crazy, right? Instead of selling its “community bicycle”—the one that everyone got to ride when nothing else ran—the crew at KC wants to build it into the ultimate everyday 7.3 Power Stroke and give it away to one lucky truck guy or gal! The Power Stroke Build

Naturally, KC’s not going to give away its 7.3 without a good detail job and your input. Because it’s going into your hands, the team is building it the way you want. After corresponding with its audience via an ongoing YouTube video series, it became clear enthusiasts wanted a 7.3 Power Stroke that was clean, usable, and could tow any weight with ease. Rather than a huge, large-wheeled SEMA-style lifted truck, they wanted to see a classic resto-mod that retained the 7.3’s original charm and allure. Kind of like an “OEM+” type of build, to-do items included a leveling kit on 35s, refreshed interior pieces, matching era-appropriate side mirrors, and new headlights/taillights. KC promised to keep the 7.3 front end and the badges.

As for the diesel engine, fans didn’t want to the OBS to be on the verge of blowing up. Rather, they wanted KC to keep the 7.3 reliably seeing 500-550 hp at the wheels, nearly tripling the factory output. In order to hit that number, KC installed its all new KC300x Gen 3 Stage 2 turbo (clean-running, fast-spooling, great for towing), Full Force 238/80 injectors, and every supporting mod to make sure it could make that power reliably. Build sponsors included Riffraff Diesel Incorporated, XDP, Power Hungry Performance, Edge, AirDog, Full Force Diesel Performance, Driven Diesel Performance, and CNC Fabrication Diesel Performance. KC has been documenting the whole build journey on its YouTube page, starting with the truck’s baseline stock dyno run where it made 204 hp.

Add items from KC Turbos’ website to your cart, apply the code at checkout, and receive one entry for every pre-tax dollar spent (excluding shipping/handling and any discounts) through 11:59:59 p.m. ET June 2. If you’re under 18, you’ll need to get mom and dad to help out. To enter without making a purchase, hand-print the required info (found in the official rules) and mail it in a #10 business-sized envelope to the specified address. A random drawing will be conducted around June 10, and the potential winner will be notified. The name of the confirmed winner be announced around June 15.
