D&J Precision Machine has long been known for its record-setting Cummins engines—from drag strip powerhouses to reliable street builds. Now, teaming up with BD Diesel under the Burnout Brands banner, D&J is bringing that expertise to an all-new level with its Ready Run Precision Plus Engine Packages—fully assembled, drop-in Cummins crate engines designed for simplicity, reliability, and minimal downtime. While not a totally new product for the company, we finally had the opportunity to put our hands on one of these beasts at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Complete, Ready-to-Run Cummins Power
Covering 2004.5–2018 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins platforms, each Ready Run engine arrives complete from oil pan to valve cover—including fuel system, turbocharger, and exhaust manifold—and ships immediately from stock. “This program delivers a truly complete, in-stock solution,” says D&J’s Drew Pumphrey. “Customers save time, eliminate parts-chasing, and get back on the road or trail faster.”

Built With CNC Precision And Expert Assembly
Each engine begins with a 5.9L or 6.7L core, thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and machined using CNC precision equipment. Crankshafts are checked and repaired as needed before expert technicians assemble the engines in D&J’s clean room. Critical measurements—bearing clearances, piston protrusion, and deck surfaces—are verified before each engine receives a durable gloss-black finish.

Reinforced Cylinder Heads And Heavy-Duty Components
Cylinder heads are fully remanufactured with heavy-duty valve seats, bronze guides, and multi-angle valve jobs for improved airflow. All soft plugs are replaced with threaded versions, and every engine features ARP 2000 head studs for added durability.

Premium Hardware And Fuel System Upgrades
Premium components come standard: a Fluidampr harmonic balancer for smooth operation, a BD Killer Grid Heater Upgrade to eliminate failure-prone factory bolts, and a complete BD fuel system including a reman CP3 pump, Bosch fuel rail, and reman injectors tested on a Bosch 815 bench.

Turbocharger Options And Exhaust Excellence
Turbo options are tailored to each generation—reman Holset HE351CW, HE351VE, or HE300VG units—each VSR-balanced and fitted with new oil lines. Exhaust duties are handled by a BD high-silicon ductile iron manifold, pre-drilled for a pyrometer and backed by BD’s warranty.

Turnkey Power At A Competitive Price
Priced at $23,999 with a $4,700 core charge, D&J’s Ready Run engines offer a true turnkey solution—ideal for daily drivers, work trucks, or custom Cummins swaps—delivering the performance and precision that define D&J’s reputation.
