Ram geared up for another holiday showcase of towing strength as the brand marked its 11th consecutive year as the official truck sponsor of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The 2025 celebration relied heavily on Ram’s Heavy Duty lineup, with the brand supplying 76 total trucks and vans—including 16 Heavy Duty models—to move some of the most elaborate floats in the parade’s 99-year history.

This year, 28 Ram trucks were dedicated float haulers, pulling massive, multi-ton creations through Manhattan’s tight 2.5-mile parade route. The star of the kickoff sequence, Tom Turkey, rode atop a Ram 5500, a Class 5 workhorse built for serious towing, payload, and upfitting. Ram’s presence continued through the finale, where a Ram Power Wagon took command to escort Santa Claus down 34th Street toward Macy’s Herald Square.

Ram also leaned into the holiday theme by fully wrapping five Ram trucks to match signature floats, including Tom Turkey, the Pirate Ship, and Santa’s Sleigh. These wraps allowed the trucks to visually blend with the parade’s larger-than-life designs, even as they supplied the torque and low-speed control needed to maneuver the oversized structures block by block.

Though the parade spanned under three miles, the logistical demands were significant. Many floats weigh several tons, and navigating New York City’s narrowed streets, crowds, and sharp turns required exceptional precision and durability—areas where Ram’s diesel-powered and Heavy Duty models excel.

Beyond the 28 tow vehicles, another 48 Ram trucks and vans were dedicated to pre-parade and behind-the-scenes support, underscoring the scale of the event and the importance of steady, reliable equipment. In total, Ram contributed 50 Ram 1500s, 16 Heavy Duty trucks, and 10 Ram ProMaster vans, all backed by the brand’s 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.

Tim Kuniskis, Head of American Brands, SRT Performance, NA Marketing and Retail Strategy, emphasized the brand’s commitment to the massive undertaking, noting that Ram has been “all-in” for more than a decade. “Nothing stops America from celebrating the holidays with friends and family, and nothing stops Ram from keeping the parade rolling,” he said.

The 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was aired nationwide on Thursday, November 27.
