Hooking up the trailer and heading out for the long drive? It’s B&W Trailer Hitches that will be making your life easier. Here at the 2016 SEMA Show, the company has its full array of signature gooseneck and fifth-wheel hitches that work on all makes and models of three-quarter-ton trucks.

The latest to drop from B&W is the OEM “Puck” Slider fifth-wheel hitch. Beth Barlow, B&W’s marketing manager, was able to describe what this hitch was all about.

“This is our fifth-wheel hitch made for the Chevrolet OEM prep package,” said Barlow. “In a few months, we are going to be coming out with the Slider OEM hitches for the Ford, Chevy, and Ram trucks. We currently offer the stationary fifth-wheel hitches, but this gives an option to drivers with shortbed trucks.”

Getting the Slider hitch installed onto the truck is nothing too complicated, according to Barlow. “The Prep package that comes in the truck basically has some holes in the bed, we call them pucks. Basically, you set the piece in there, turn the handle that locks it in place, and that’s it. The head comes off of the base so it comes apart in two pieces. This makes it more portable with less weight to deal with, which you would have to deal with all at once if it were a one-piece design.”

The Slider hitch comes in two pieces to make it easier to carry on and off of the bed without the risk of hurting yourself.

The Slider hitch has a 20,000-pound tow rating, perfect for a trailer that you have to take on family trips. See more on B&W Trailer Hitches’ website, and keep it locked on here for more sweet SEMA news!
