BD Diesel Performance has addressed an issue in late model Rams with its new transducer adapter for 2000-07 trucks with the RE transmission. Gone is the plastic piece that was prone to failure, and instead is the metal unit that has a much higher survival rate. See more details below.
Official Release:
The Pressure Transducer Adapter allows for the replacement of the original OE intermittent malfunctioning plastic transducer found on 2000-2007 Dodge RE transmissions with the metal 56041403AA transducer found on pre-2000 transmissions. The more rugged, reliable and durable earlier transducer can handle higher transmission line pressures without failure. The electronic adapter will prevent over pressure codes and has a built-in temperature sensor for improved reliability. The adapter part number 1600365 fits 42RE, 44RE, 46RE, 47RE and 48RE transmission and is also available in a kit (1060602) which includes transducer, gasket and retainer clip. Available from BD and major transmission parts distributors.
Features:
- Replaces 2000-07 malfunctioning plastic transducer found on 2000-07 Dodge RE transmissions with metal version found on pre-2000 transmissions
- Built-in temperature sensor for improved reliability
- Handles higher transmission line pressures without failure
