Vehicles nowadays seem to have less and less room under the hood. Opening most truck hoods you can barely fit your hand anywhere, so thinking about adding anything usually goes out the window.
Pusher Intakes has taken this head on and designed a compound turbo setup for the 1994 to 2016 Cummins powered trucks. These are bolt-on kits that come with everything you need to install. They are fully TIG welded, have CNC machined and laser cut flanges, 3.5-inch steel intermediate charge pipe with a port for a boost sensor, 5-inch heat wrapped down pipes, designed to work with stock and most aftermarket exhaust manifolds, and have various powder coat options available.
We had the chance to speak with Jacob Allenbaugh to get more information on the product and how it was designed. Jacob said, “We carried over many manufacturing techniques and specs from the aircraft industry into the production process of each component. Every component was continually refined throughout the R&D process so nothing was left on the table.”
Everyone knows that two is better than one, but we asked Jacob about the compound setup. “Compounds are really the ultimate turbo configuration due to the substantial usable power gains they provide across the board. These kits can support anything from 300 hp to over 1000 hp with the right chargers,” Jacob explained.
For more information on each of the kits be sure to check out their website.
