Whether you’re using your truck for a nice daily driver, a work truck, or even some sort of competition, you want to take care of it. One of the most critical components of your truck is the transmission. After all, if it fails, you’re stuck and out some serious coin to have it repaired. One of the biggest killers in all transmissions is heat. Luckily for us, Strictly Diesel just released their all-new Driven Diesel Transmission Cooler Kit for the 2011 to 2016 Ford Power Stroke trucks.
Building on their highly successful 2017 and up kits, Strictly Diesel is proud to release their hot item to the later 2011-2016 F-250 through F-550 trucks. What this kit does is adds a large liquid to air heat exchanger to the OEM liquid to liquid unit maintaining the OEM coolers ability to aid in warming the transmission up while offering a significant reduction to maximum transmission temperatures.

The Driven Diesel Transmission Cooler Kit includes an extra-large 30-inch by 7-inch heat exchanger with 1/2-inch inlet and outlets, T-304 Stainless Steel brackets, Gates 400-PSI transmission cooler hoses, OEM style hardware for a clean look, and extremely detailed, full-color installation instruction. The installation of this kit is easily handled by the average home mechanic so you’re safe to do this right the garage at home.
In fact, Strictly has already had people testing this unit out in the Arizona heat and the results are great. This is the same cooler that was tested in their 2017 F-450 for thousands of miles, both heavily loaded and unloaded, driving at highway speeds and in stop-and-go traffic. Long gone are the plus 210 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures (unloaded) and the plus 240 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures (loaded). Hammering on the truck while pulling an 18,000-pound, 48-foot triple-axle race trailer across the Arizona desert in August, the highest temperature they could manage was 220-degrees and the temperature dropped noticeably as soon as they quit abusing the truck. Simply put, the temperature drops are fantastic.

The cooler adds approximately 1-1.5 quarts of fluid capacity to the system. The installation will take the average DIYer 1-2 hours, depending on experience.
For a very competitive price, you can take care of your precious truck and make sure its transmission temperatures stay maintained in a safe zone.
