Up until now, we’ve had to put up with every Tom, Dick, and Harry spouting nonsense and going berserk on reality TV shows focusing on automotive repairs and restorations. Titles like “Gas Monkey Garage,” “Bitchin’ Rides”, and others come to mind: every episode has a project with an “impossible” deadline, clashing of opinions, and finally the big, happy reveal to the customer.
So here comes another show by the Discovery Channel, which will now be putting the focus on the diesel market. Called “Diesel Brothers,” the series will focus on the well-known faces behind Diesel Sellerz/Diesel Power Gear (both involved in the same company) in Woodscross, Utah. Hopefully, it won’t force as much “drama” as other shows.
We’ve known these guys from various pranks involving diesel trucks up until now. Whether it was the cabover truck that did a somersault or the unwelcome “smoke-out” of a bathroom, it’s practically guaranteed there will be plenty of shenanigans to feature on the show.
What we really want to know is if this will feature some cool builds. Part and parcel of the shop’s fame is its sweepstakes contests for well-built trucks, which come outfitted with all sorts of off-road goodies to make them fun and capable for four-wheeling exploration. It’s right there on the website: “We give away trucks. It’s what we do.”

Whether this trend will continue with the show taking over is something that remains to be seen. In the meantime, we’ll have to keep an eye out for this TV show to see if it accurately portrays the diesel crowd – fingers crossed.
