Remember what your mother told you when you were young? “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” Well, some people didn’t get the memo, or forgot it as they were growing up. Either way, Diesel Power Products did a hilarious send-up of these individuals with their recent video, “The Truck Hater.”
The hater lets us know right off the bat that he’s got mad beef with the truck owner. He wears massive ski shades and throws major shade as soon as the truck owner steps out. Basically, the hater is that “internet tough guy” you run into on Facebook or forums who thinks he’s got it all figured out, and isn’t afraid to let you know. Whether it’s the stock bumper or the tire size, all he wants to do is point out what he thinks are flaws so he can look superior.
The truck hater sees a mildly built dually and loses his mind.
The hater isn’t there to hear counterarguments, he’s just there to make himself feel better. In the sketch, the truck owner calls him out – “Is that an Uber?” – but the hater’s retorts fall flat. Evidently, his 6.0-liter Power Stroke is in the shop because it “makes too much power and it’s broken all the time.” But the truck is nowhere to be seen; the hater is all hat and no cattle, as it were.
So the next time you find yourself dealing with someone dissing your rig, just remember that it’s because he feels insecure compared to you.
