Say what you want about Ford and its Power Strokes, but they sure are fun to take through the mud. Here to demonstrate this are a bunch of guys driving a trio of Blue Oval machines through some sloppy backroads in what looks to be Texas, judging by the license plates.
The lead truck, a white first-gen, plows into the section we see in the video above. With three of his friends riding in the bed, he puts the hammer down to get through the mire, only to find himself stuck at around the 30-second mark. The vehicle is now pointed 45 degrees away from the pathway, which could look to be his undoing.
Up pulls a 2009-14 F-150, its mirrors folded in and picking a line more to the right of the trail. It’s too bad that all he gets for his wise and experienced driving is a face full of exhaust smoke, as the first-gen is all kinds of stuck while the driver figures out what to do next.
The last truck is another first-gen, and just as it’s pulling up the front Super Duty has found its way out of the jam it was in. The video cuts off before we get to see anymore, but we do have some important takeaways from this video.
First is that you always have to be on point when driving through mud. A single misstep could lead to you getting stuck, and no one like doing recovery while battling goopy mud. Second is that you should not give up just because you feel like you are stuck, because as the lead driver demonstrated, all he had to do was get creative with throttle and steering input to help himself out of a sticky situation.
