When it comes to upgrading your 2017 or newer Ford F-Series Super Duty, few mods offer as immediate a transformation as a well-designed lift or leveling kit. The ReadyLIFT 2.5-inch Coil Spring Lift Kit, combined with the company’s Falcon 1.1 Monotube Shocks and Dual Steering Stabilizer, strikes a perfect balance between form, function, and performance. Unlike cheaper leveling pucks or budget shock combos, this system enhances ride quality, corrects geometry, and adds real-world capability to your Power Stroke workhorse.
Why Factory Isn’t Good Enough for Many Super Duty Owners
The Ford Super Duty platform is built tough, but it still has compromises. From the factory, the front end of these trucks sits noticeably lower than the rear — great for hauling loads, but not ideal for aesthetics or off-road clearance. The factory shocks, while serviceable, are not designed for aggressive driving, larger tires, or bumpy off-road terrain.
Add in a heavy-duty bumper, a winch, or larger tires, and the stock components quickly show their limitations. Bottoming out, spongy response, nose-diving under braking, and excessive steering feedback are all common complaints.
Why the ReadyLIFT Coil Spring Kit is a Superior Choice
Many leveling kits rely on spacer pucks — simple chunks of aluminum or plastic that raise the front end while retaining a factory coil spring. While they’re budget-friendly and easy to install, they don’t actually improve suspension performance. In fact, they can introduce harsh ride quality and reduce up-travel.
Precision-Tuned ReadyLIFT Coil Springs
Instead of relying on a spacer, ReadyLIFT provides engineered coil springs designed specifically for the 2017 and newer Ford F-Series Super Duty chassis. These coils are progressively wound for a smooth ride over small bumps with firmer resistance under load as well as powder-coated for durability and corrosion resistance. And most importantly, tuned for a diesel engine’s added weight.
By replacing the factory spring entirely, you’re not only raising the front end — you’re gaining a better spring platform that’s designed for longevity, comfort, and control.
Falcon 1.1 Monotube Shocks
Shock absorbers are often overlooked in lift kits, especially in entry-level systems that reuse factory dampers. That’s a missed opportunity. Your shocks are your primary defense against bounce, dive, and instability. The Falcon 1.1 Monotube Shocks, included with this ReadyLIFT kit, are a standout in this segment. Designed by the same minds behind Teraflex’s Jeep performance parts, Falcon shocks bring true engineering pedigree to the truck world.
What Makes Falcon Shocks Better?
This Monotube design provides faster heat dissipation and more consistent damping performance compared to twin-tube designs. They resist fade even under prolonged use. Falcon 1.1s are specifically tuned for the increased ride height and spring rate of this lift kit, giving a balanced ride across varied terrain. The hard-anodized finish is built to survive the rust-prone, gravel-spitting underbelly of your Ford Super Duty. Falcon also optimized for the extra height, these shocks allow full articulation and motion control across the stroke, something your OEM shocks simply can’t do with a lift.
Dual Steering Stabilizer
With bigger tires, offset wheels, and a lifted suspension, the steering system has to work overtime to keep the truck straight. That’s where the ReadyLIFT Dual Steering Stabilizer shines. By replacing the single OEM damper with two high-quality dampers, this kit helps to reduce bump steer on rough roads. It also mitigates death wobble, especially in trucks running 35-inch or larger tires, while also improving steering wheel return-to-center feel. The added damping force helps preserve tie rods and steering linkages under load, as well.
ReadyLIFT Installation Overview and Pro Tips
Installing the ReadyLIFT kit with Falcon shocks and the dual steering stabilizer is very straightforward with standard tools and a lift or jack/stand setup. Expect the full install to take 4–6 hours depending on your experience.
There are a couple key things to note if you try and tackle this job yourself in the garage, like we did. You’ll want to torque everything under load. Final torque settings should be applied with the full vehicle weight on the suspension. This ensures bushings are properly centered and avoids premature wear. Also, have an alignment scheduled immediately as lifting the front end alters toe and caster and you’ll need a proper alignment to avoid tire wear and wandering. Lastly, check brake lines and ABS wires, watching for stretch at full droop.
How It All Comes Together
Once installed, the ReadyLIFT 2.5-inch Coil Spring Kit transforms the Super Duty from a factory-tuned hauler into a truck that’s actually fun to drive. The front-to-rear stance levels out, creating space for up to 37-inch tires with proper offset wheels. Ride quality improves thanks to progressive spring rates and Falcon shock damping, and the steering becomes noticeably more stable with the dual stabilizer in place.
Don’t Forget The Speedometer Calibration
For our build, we opted to stick with 35’s, mounting up some 35×12.50R20 Milestar Patagoina X/T tires on a set of polished 20×9-inc Fuel Ignite’s wheels. This combo looks aggressive, handles dry and wet pavement incredibly well and will wear great without crazy road noise you’d get from other aggressive tires. An additional piece to this puzzle to think about. The larger tire means our speedometer will no longer read accurately and the added weight takes some of the zip out of your truck. To resolve both these issues, there are many great modules and tuners that are an excellent plug and play option to add some power, calibrate the speedometer and eliminate that annoying pedal lag.
Final Thoughts On The ReadyLIFT Leveling Kit
The ReadyLIFT 2.5-inch Coil Spring Lift Kit with Falcon Shocks and Dual Steering Stabilizer isn’t just another leveling kit. It’s a smartly engineered suspension upgrade designed for Super Duty owners who actually use their trucks — not just mall crawl in them.
While budget puck kits may seem appealing, they pale in comparison to the comfort, control, and capability offered by ReadyLIFT’s complete solution. If you want your 2017 and newer Ford F-Series Super Duty to ride better, look better, and handle the demands of real work and adventure, this is the kit to get.
