The 2017 Scheid Diesel Extravaganza has come to a close! Trucks, Semi’s, trailers, and campers have left the fairgrounds. You could tell it has been a wild weekend with the vibes that were being put off today. From what we gathered entering the fairgrounds today the majority of the crowd were “dehydrated.”

Being the only two wheel drive competitor in Pro Street, Dustin Jackson had to heat these massive slick tires to keep the rubbers planted to the ground.

There were still plenty of remaining fans and drivers that stuck around for the end of event activities. The Pro classes finals were settled up today which made the points race even more exciting. In the end, Dustin Jackson again faced off with the deadly Firepunk Diesel truck drove by Lavon Miller.

Lavon Miller put down a 5.17 and was the number one qualifier on elapsed time.

After what we think was some spinning, combined with a later reaction time, Lavon Miller fell short of the win today, which left Dustin Jackson in victory lane. They are starting to get the lightning figured out and it will continue to be a thorn in Firepunk’s side.

A lot of big names made the trip to Terre Haute for this event knowing how big it was going to be.

Being the last day of the event didn’t keep anyone from leaving early, it was still jam packed as always and the Outlaw Diesel Super Series put on a great show for the drag racing fans. Even after waiting out a power outage from somewhere in town, the fans bronzed themselves watching the action to pick back up.

Ric Newbury took home the win in 6.70-index class.

Yesterday spoiled us, as it was a perfect day as far as weather goes, but today was definitely that hot Indiana August we all know and love (or hate).

Wagler's DX500 made an appearance at the show, as well as the FarFromStock Store truck.

As another year goes by, we look forward to seeing what next year brings! Were you here at the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza? Let us know in the comments below!
