VP Racing Fuels announced the introduction of “Cetanium” a cetane concentrate several months back. This is the latest addition to the the latest addition to the “Madditive” performance chemical line of products, and expands those specifically formulated for diesel fuel.

“Cetanium will increase cetane by up to 10 numbers for off-road racing diesel applications,” said Bruce Hendel, VP’s Director of Consumer Products. “That’s the largest increase of any cetane boost on the market.”

Cetanium is packaged in 32-ounce containers which is enough to treat up to 10 gallons of diesel fuel. The new additive packs the power to clean injectors and pumps, prevent sludge and deposits and replace lost lubrication. According to VP Racing Fuels, “This yields an increase in horsepower, increased fuel mileage, a reduction in smoking and greater protection, including for biodiesel applications.

“While the performance chemicals market is crowded, dealers and their retail customers will find Cetanium and our other VP Madditives to be best in class,” Hendel said. “The VP brand on these products carries the same assurance of quality and performance customers have come to expect from VP Racing Fuels for the last 40 years. Dealers can rest assured there will be widespread demand for Madditives among their performance enthusiast customers.”

We will be releasing a more in-depth look at Cetanium and with a little luck should receive some independent testing results for the product. We are all hoping that the improved fuel mixture will enable us to run a slightly more aggressive tune, thus producing more power!
