With the popularity of the new Ford Super Duty trucks and the way they are being purchased, the demand quickly became overwhelming, everyone needs a larger tank for the truck. Luckily for owners of the new F250 and F350 Fords, engineers at TITAN Fuel Tanks had started developing a tank last year for them. And what a tank it is!

TITAN’s new Ford Short Bed, Crew Cab tank is 55 gallons; that is 21 gallons larger than the stock tank or roughly an additional 294 miles (based on 14pmg) over the stock tank between fill ups. But huge, additional capacity is what TITAN is known for. The new 55 gallon Ford tank is made in the USA, it carries the same Lifetime Warranty as all TITAN tanks, like all of TITAN’s mid-ship replacement tanks it is a direct, simple bolt-in replacement with no fabrication or cutting required and of course it retains full use of the DEF system. What makes this tank different is that it is the first in the new Generation 6 line of tanks from TITAN, the heart of the new generation is how the stock fuel sending unit mounts to the tank. Generation 6 tanks feature a new TITAN Lock Ring mechanism which works just like the factory tank. Slide the sending unit into the tank and twist, the tank locks in place with an air tight seal. “The new TITAN Lock Ring makes installation simple, it reduces time greatly and makes the install almost fool proof” states James Patience, Technical Manager at TITAN. The new Generation 6 tanks also feature enhanced mounting straps that are made of galvanized steel mounting straps that are coated black with a baked epoxy coating. Additionally, it is very important to note that TITAN’s new Ford tank maintains the stock sending unit, sending unit guard and fuel lines. The TITAN tank is designed so well that everything fits right into place as they would on the stock tank.

The new TITAN Fuel Tanks 55 gallon 2017 Ford Super Duty Crew Cab, Short Bed tank will be available through TITAN’s dealer network beginning the first week of May. While the features of the new tank are very impressive, most impressive is the price; the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price is only $1199. It is not often that you see a company develop new features while being able to offer it to customers at a price much lower than expected.
