Invading the 145th annual Chilliwack Fair is BD Diesel Performance with their first annual BD Diesel Dirt Drags. This will be the biggest largest diesel event in British Columbia and will be the perfect opportunity to get off the blacktop and let the dirt fly.
Get your trucks ready for this, sign up, and show everyone what you can do. This is a non-profit event with 100 percent of profit going to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, which is one of BD Diesel choice of charities to support.
With money and trophies up for grabs, it should make for an interesting day. Make it to the top, and take home your cut of the $4,000 and a custom trophy. It’s only $60 to enter in each class. They will have the following classes:
Workstock: Stock appearing turbocharger, DOT tires, no injectables, rear exit exhaust, and OEM bodies.
Super Single: Single turbochargers only, no size limitations, no injectables, and mandatory turbo bolts for hood stack equipped trucks.
Open Unlimited: Any vehicle, no turbo limitations, any injectables, added weight must be secure, and turbo bolts for hood stacked equipped trucks.
We caught up with Brian Roth, founder of BD Diesel Performance to get his thoughts on this first-time event. “I’m hoping to engage our local diesel and motorsports enthusiasts to have a safe and inexpensive experience,” Roth explained. The laws in most areas are cracking down on what and where we can enjoy motorsports and this gives us an opportunity to race in a safe and controlled setting.
“This is our first year doing a dirt drags event and the reaction and support we’ve received so far has been amazing and the event hasn’t even happened yet,” said Georgina Hooper, of BD Diesel. “We are expecting a great competition, crowd, and an overall an amazing outcome.”
BD Diesel would like to throw a big thank you to all the sponsors that helped them get this event going, without them it would’ve been a great struggle. “The community has really come together to help get the track prepped by donating time, equipment, and employees,” Hooper explained.
