A sea of vendors dawn each hall, but we had to make a stop and see our friends at the BD Diesel Performance booth. They have a ton of new products coming out and we stopped to get the scoop on the latest and greatest.
We caught up with Christian Roth, of BD Diesel Performance to learn about the all new BD Screamer series turbochargers for the 6.0-liter Power Stroke. “We’re looking to catch both markets in the six-liter market,” Roth said. “The towing and everyday driver trucks that just want to up the performance and the power-hungry six-liter owners looking for more than just a few more ponies.”
The Stage 1 turbocharger configuration includes a 61-millimeter compressor and 72.5-millimeter turbine, while the Stage 2 upgrades the compressor to a 63-millimeter with the same ten-blade turbine. “We keep a similar size housing on the Stage 1 turbos to match with factory sizing for better spooling, faster cooling, and additionally twenty horsepower over our competitors,” Roth said.
Getting into the higher horsepower trucks, Roth continued, “The 66/88 wheel is a larger ten-blade wheel, that creates a louder sound that some of our buyers enjoy and against the competition it makes nearly 30 horsepower more.”
With this all-new design, BD hopes to reach all of you valued 6.0-liter owners and hope to improve your performance on all levels.
Be sure and check back for all of BD’s new products being released here at the 2017 SEMA Show.
