With the first three drivers announced of the 2018 Ultimate Callout Challenge Qualifier, it’s that time again to announce the next few drivers looking to lay it all on the line. We have seen some of the most unique builds across the country coming into this event and look forward to seeing the next waves of drivers come in.
Driver #4 – Brendan Marr
As an active member of the United States Marine Corps., Brendan Marr and his crew of passionate diesel enthusiasts look to compete with their 2004 Duramax-powered regular cab. This truck generates a ton of horsepower and torque by a trio of triple turbos, S&S Diesel Motorsports fueling modifications, and a CP-Carrillo bottom end.
Being involved with diesel trucks for 5-plus years, Marr’s team isn’t backing down for anyone. Be sure and keep an eye out for the truck with the Michigan plates.
Driver #5 – Chris Krebs
With what may be the only VP44 controlled truck in the Ultimate Callout Challenge field, Chris Krebs is going to prove that they can still be a contender. This 1999 Dodge Ram has a 5.9-liter Cummins engine with a stage-2 VP44 Monster Pump, FASS 150 fuel system, Scheid Diesel injectors, and is tuned with a Competition Juice with Attitude CTS2 by Edge.
Airing out the fueling modifications are a pair of compound turbos that measure out to an S364/S475 and the boost is relieved by a 50-mm JGS wastegate. Sitting on a set of Hoosier drag radials, Kreb’s is looking to thunder down the track on top at the Ultimate Callout Challenge qualifier with nitrous on tap if necessary.
Harnessing the power and getting it to the ground is a Stage-6 ATS Diesel 47RE transmission. Krebs owns a best elapsed time of a 10.67 at 128.58-mph and for a VP44-controlled truck, is very impressive. Watch out for Krebs as he looks to wow the crowd in his pearl white second-gen Ram.
Driver #6 – David Kaspar
David Kaspar, of Precision Diesel, is bringing one of the most unique builds to the Ultimate Callout Challenge qualifier. Kasper claims this will be the fastest full-frame, street legal 6.0-liter Powerstroke in the country. Shooting for 2,000 horsepower and 2,500 lb-ft of torque, team Ford looks to make a statement in May.
We have wrapped up the first six drivers that have bought their way into this grueling event and now it’s time to put up or shut up. Let us know in the comments below who you’re pulling for to win in the wildest event of the year.
