Readers’ Rides: Steven Domey’s 2010 Mega Cab Dually

Domey owns an auto parts store and with his growing passion for diesel trucks, it’s been a convenient asset to his hobby. “It really has made it easy to get parts for all my trucks when needed,” said Domey.

Diesel trucks are pretty common for our friend Steven Domey. Domey lives in the small town of Swanton, Vermont. Starting a collection, he owns all Dodge trucks, and Domey has collected first-generation Rams’ all the way up to his fourth-generation Ram. This is his 2010 Dodge Ram Mega Cab Laramie dually.

So, why so many Dodge trucks? ” I’ve been into diesel trucks for about five years now,” said Domey. “I’m an avid Dodge fan because they have the inline-six Cummins engines that have proven time and time again that when maintained properly, it can run for a million miles.”

We hope to see this truck soon at a show as it definitely fits the clean look.

“My favorite part about this truck is that it’s a short box dually,” said Domey. “The flow of the big cab to the wide rear is really great.” His 2010 Ram has a pile of aftermarket parts installed which made it what is it today. The modifications aren’t all just exterior either. It’s happily making some healthy horsepower numbers.

This mega Ram is outfitted with the 6.7-liter Cummins engine and all of the emissions components have been removed and tuning this truck comes from a RaceMe tuner. The engine is fed with cool fresh air from an S&B Intakes cold air intake and the exhaust exits a full MBRP Inc. exhaust system.

Riding high on a 2.5-inch Skyjacker Suspensions leveling kit, it tucks massive 22-inch American Force Wheels Independence wheels wrapped in 35-inch Toyo Tires Open Country M/T tires. With comfort in mind, Domey installed a set of Fox 2.0 reservoir shocks.

Domey looks to broaden his horizons and try and to get into automotive shows to show this beast off.Taking exterior lighting seriously, Domey also installed a pair of custom Oracle Lighting headlight lense’s and mounted a 42-inch LED lightbar on the front of the truck. Buttoning up the exterior, Domey replaced the factory grille for a Smitty Bilt M1 front grille and paint matched everything possible.

Domey mentioned that his future plans for the truck are finding some truck-show type sponsorships and travel around with his mega cab and hopefully win some shows. Keep an eye out for this truck, you may see him competing in a show near you very soon.
