You know the drill. The second to last Outlaw Diesel Super Series is upon us. Not only is the excitement growing because of an event but there is also an excuse to go beachin’! That’s right. We’re headed to the Hardway Performance Sunshine Showdown in Holt, Florida. Holt is conveniently located just about an hour north of the Gulf Of Mexico and home of one of the top dragstrips in the sunshine state. Emerald Coast Dragway.
Emerald Coast Dragway is home to Ryan Millikens’ Cummins-powered Chevrolet Nova and coming up next weekend, September 13th and 14th, you can to enjoy the year-ending fun by either watching your favorite trucks or piloting your own in a class that best fits you. If there is one thing we can guarantee about this event, the stakes are high.
Something about the people down there, they love to race. Doesn’t matter where it’s at, things get settled with speed down there. In fact, there is already a few rumored grudge matches happening down there between some of the industry’s hottest trucks. Paul Cato and his Maverick Diesel-backed Ram has a score to settle with RLC Motorsports‘ Michael Dalton and his Orange Crush Ram.
Dalton better cool it off quick because he isn’t done yet. Derek Rose, your 2018 Ultimate Callout Challenge champion has a $1,000 callout on Dalton too and they’re looking to square off come Friday the 13th. Friday the 13th is unlucky in Western superstition, but who will have the good luck on grudge night?
Place your bets now. What team are you on? 4x4 or two-wheel-drive?
Friday evening, before all of the grudge action probably kicks off, the Outlaw Diesel Super Series will have one round of pro class qualifying and two street truck shootouts brought to you by Truck Source Diesel and a test and tune for the rest of the competitors.
Saturday the 14th, it’s race day. We will spend the first part of the morning finishing out the rest of qualifying in each class and head straight into eliminations in all of the usual Outlaw Diesel Super Series classes. JAMO Performance Exhaust E.T Bracket, ATS Diesel Power 7.70 Index, Maryland Performance Diesel 6.70 Index, Firepunk Diesel Outlaw 5.90 Index, Hot Shot’s Secret Pro Street, Suncoast Performance Pro Mod, and Flo~Pro Performance Exhaust Pro Dragster.
