Street Outlaws No Prep Kings Goes Diesel In Texas!

If you’re a drag racing fan, chances are you’ve heard of the hit show on Discovery, Street Outlaws. Street Outlaws was at one time an Oklahoma-based crew that street raced for money on vacant back roads. Well, as the show’s popularity grew, they’ve become more creative as to how to get their fans involved. No Prep Kings was born.

No Prep Kings takes the racing off of the streets and into select, unprepared race tracks across the country. In this competition, one race is just a small battle if you want to be crowned No Prep King. The traditional classes for a No Prep Kings event are Big Tire, typically your known televised drivers, Small Tire, a few more of your televised drivers, and Daily Driver.

Daily Driver is where you the fans can get involved and take your car or truck out there for a chance to race the Street Outlaws with your own ride. But October 25th in Ennis, Texas for the No Prep Kings finale, diesel trucks will invade the No Prep world and showcase their true power. After talking with a few drivers that have been involved with the No Prep King crew, it’s been tough but it’s finally happening.

October 25th and 26th, two more classes have been added to the roster and that includes Friday night Two-Wheel Drive Diesel Truck, Four Wheel Drive Diesel Truck, and Saturdays Two-Wheel and Four Wheel Diesel Destruction classes. On Friday in both classes, it’s a $100 entry fee with 100-percent payback. For Saturday’s event, it’s a $200 buy in and a guaranteed $2500 pot.

If you’re a gung ho diesel drag racer there is some serious money on the line. You can have your chance at collecting some big money on a big stage under the lights and on camera. There have already been a few confirmed names going to be here and the two-wheel drive class will be no joke. There will be a green diesel Chevrolet Nova and a black diesel Pro Mod you’ve seen on the show once or twice. Maybe you know who I’m talking about?

If you’re interested in getting involved and taking your diesel-powered machine down the strip for the No Prep Kings finale, be sure and check out their website here. Stay tuned to Diesel Army as we will find out who will take the crown in the first-ever diesel classes. Maybe this will be a new thing? What are your thoughts on diesels getting into No Prep more?
