EGR continues to offer state-of-the-art products for our trucks. With that being said, we’re knee-deep into the buildup of this Ford F-250. What better way to showcase what EGR has to offer than dressing this truck up. For those of you who are new, this truck just got a Sinister Diesel leveling kit and the owner is in search of new wheels and tires.
EGR is one of our industry’s leading manufacturers for premium automotive accessories. So what products are we planning on giving a shot? Super Window Visors and Super Hood Guard. Window Visors, or also known as rain guards and window deflectors, are important to every truck. When traveling in rain, snow, sleet, or just wind, you want to be able to have your windows cracked for some fresh air even with inclement weather.
Wanting more information about their products, I spoke with Thomas Lamb, the EGR Representative, and he gave us a few words about their products. “Here at EGR, we’re driven by quality. What I mean is that every set of visors and every single hood guard is made up of premium materials starting from the ground up.”
It’s been said that visors will help fuel economy too. The aerodynamic characteristics deflect wind and minimize resistance which will make it easier for the truck to accelerate. Also, the fact that you aren’t using the air conditioner will help with fuel consumption too. I wouldn’t expect a huge gain after an install but it certainly can’t hurt. In my opinion, they just look great.
As for hood guards, they have a similar mission. Other than just offering a better look on the nose of your truck, they actually are protecting your vehicle. These EGR Super Guard Deflectors keep your windshield cleaner, prevents damage to the paint of your truck, and offers extended protection in extreme conditions. This is one great way to enhance the look of your truck.

As you can see, each visor is marked for which side they go onto the truck and the rears are equipped with tape to stick to the inside of the frame.
EGR’s Window Visors are designed specifically to promote fresh-air circulation throughout your truck. Each visor is a custom-molded design and each allows for reduced window fogging along with reduced interior temperature when you’re parked.
They are made of durable, scratch-resistant, UV-Capped acrylic. Your investment in these units is protected by the quality acrylic that is used. These will not fade and will continue to offer that fresh look for years to come. Their visors are available for many different applications and they come in Dark Smoke and Matte Black colors.
Once the tape is peeled back, it's as simple as that.
As for installation, these window visors are an easy, no tools necessary process. They are offered in classic tape on style or the modern in-channel style. Regardless of the style you’re using, you will only need five minutes to complete this. For the tape-on visors, EGR relies on the dependable 3M adhesive tape which ensures you that your new EGR window visors aren’t going anywhere.
Like their window visors, EGR’s hood guards are made tough. These feature a premium acrylic ABS construction so quality will never be an issue. These are also UV protected to ensure they will not fade over the years and they are offered in the Matte Black or Dark Smoke finishes. Regardless of which configuration you choose, you will not be disappointed.
With the supplied hardware and instructions, the front grille guard was easily installed. "We take the pellets and extrude them into large sheets of acrylic before we cut and form them into the products here. We have the ability to do this all in-house which makes us unique," Lamb said. "We make all of our own installation hardware too which obviously gives us the ability to maximize profitability for our customers. There is no middle man controlling costs."
The installation was really as simple as they say. As you can see in a matter of just a few minutes, we had this thing equipped with a customized look and better protection. We’re really happy with how this truck turned out with the new EGR parts installed. To find out what fits your truck best and where to get it, be sure and check out the EGR website here.
