AVP Performance Sitewide Covers All The Ford And Ram Trucks

AVP, one of many brands over at KT Performance, has a full lineup of turbos for trucks far and wide ranging from 1994 all the way to 2020 in both Ford and Ram models. For those of you who are new here or new to AVP, we wanted to do a quick overview of everything they have to offer so you can better understand what you’re buying for your diesel truck.

Regardless of your year, make or model, parts on these trucks will fail. Whether you’re wanting to repair a broken part or simply upgrade to a better one, you need a unit you can trust. AVP, and a lot of their customers, put their trust in these parts from everything mild to wild. What can you expect when you open an AVP box? Let’s find out.

What Do They Offer?

AVP specializes in affordable quality automotive parts. Just to list a few, they offer gauge mounts, coolant system upgrades, EGR parts, wiring harnesses, turbochargers, intake manifolds, and a ton more. Even on random items that are popular like exhaust clamps, gaskets for the engine, anything you can imagine, they’ve probably got you covered.

For the 2003-2007 Super Duty trucks with the 6.0-liter Power Stroke, coolant filtration is critical. AVP offers a coolant filter kit that includes the bracketry, lines, fittings, and filters ready to go. Let’s move over to gaskets. If you’ve got a leaky valve cover gasket on your 2006-2017 6.7-liter Cummins, they’ve got a fresh gasket and wiring harness available.

That support on valve cover gaskets is for the Super Duty trucks as well. From 1994 to 2003 7.3L and 2003-2010 6.0-liter Power Strokes, they’ve got it. You’re starting to see a trend of the support AVP offers. Moving on, stock replacement turbochargers and performance drop-in turbos are a  hit. If you’re remotely involved in aftermarket diesel performance, you’ve heard of these drop-in turbos. They have become popular.

AVP Stainless Up-Pipe Kit, Ford 2003-2007 6.0-liter Power Stroke

Not only are you outfitting your truck with stronger, more durable parts, but you're also getting better looking parts too.

If you’re a Ford enthusiast or a Ford technician, you’ll know how prone the up-pipes are on the 2003-2007 6.0-liter Power Stroke. For $185, AVP’s heavy-duty stainless steel up-pipe kit will replace that factory exhaust feed system (exhaust manifold to turbocharger) that is known to fail. When it fails, you encounter super-hot exhaust leaks which result in falling drive pressure and higher than normal EGTs.

Since you’re getting an upgraded stainless steel unit, you have a stronger, better looking upgrade. This features stainless flex couplings that aren’t directly exposed to exhaust gases which reduces the chance of burnout. The flex couplings isolate the vibration generated by the engine which allows some wiggle room so you don’t develop cracks.

AVP Bellowed Stainless Up-Pipe, Ford 1999.5-2003 7.3-Liter Power Stroke

Like the 6.0-liter Power Stroke, the 7.3-liter Power Stroke has its fair share of problems as well. The up-pipe exhaust feed system (exhaust manifold to turbocharger) is prone to leakage because of exhaust crush donut deterioration. Although this does NOT fit the OBS trucks, this is an issue that must be taken care of. For you OBS guys, AVP can take care of that as they are available.

Like the 6.0-liter, this deterioration can eventually burn out the feed pipes that result in a loss of power and higher EGT’s.

AVP Stage 1 Performance HE351VE 2007.5-2012 6.7-liter Cummins

For those of you who are looking for a replacement turbocharger, maybe the stock one just isn’t doing it for you. You want a better response and more output but you aren’t wanting to go crazy. AVP’s performance drop-in turbos feature upgrades that will offer just that. Stock appearing turbo class for sled pulling or racing, this is perfect for you.

These 63MM “Boost Master” quick-spool turbochargers feature balanced, billet wheels and 360-degree thrust bearing upgrades. They are able to make more horsepower and torque while giving you better throttle response, lower EGTs, and lower backpressure. All of AVP’s turbochargers are backed by a one-year warranty.

AVP Fuel Tank Sump Kit

Everything you need to install, including a hole saw, is provided with this.

There are thousands of trucks out there with an aftermarket lift pump installed. Whether that this a FASS, AirDog, or BD Diesel’s Venom pump, fuel supply, and filtration are critical. This sump kit allows you to make one hole in your fuel tank and gravity feed your fuel system from the bottom. This eliminates the common 1/4 tank issue where the fuel sloshes and gets a gulp of air instead of fuel.

For those of you who are upgrading to an aftermarket lift pump, this sump makes connections easy and eliminates the factory draw straw. This also helps reduce the noise output of the pump by allowing the proper amount of fuel to the pump. These can be installed on plastic or metal/aluminum tanks, you just need four inches of flat area to drill. Also, if you ever needed to drain your fuel tank, there is a drain plug included.

AVP 2003-2007 5.9-liter Powder/Ceramic-CoatedCummins Exhaust Manifold

It seems like manifolds are an afterthought when you’re upgrading turbochargers but this is a vital piece in your horsepower cravings. You want to upgrade to a larger, better-flowing manifold to get those exhaust gases to your turbocharger and out of the truck. AVP offers a manifold for the 2003-2007 Ram trucks with the 5.9-liter that come either powder coated or ceramic coated.

They are a high-flow one-piece design constructed of high-strength ductile iron material and are designed to withstand extreme temperatures and vibrations. These manifolds are good for stock and high-performance trucks. With this upgrade, you’re going to receive quicker spool up times, reduced back pressure, increased horsepower, and all of the hardware and gaskets necessary to install.

This is just a peek at what AVP can offer for you and your diesel trucks. For more information, head over to their site here. What parts do you need for your truck? Let us know in the comments below.
