Yep, we’re back with Marketplace Mondays. Choosing between a few different listings was tough, but this one had to be the one. At a glance, you see a traditional Ram 3500 dually. After your double-take, you’ll realize that this bright yellow machine is basically a Ram version of Ford’s Excursion. This is certainly a “one-of-a-kind” style truck, but actually, there are only five like it.
Built by Carl Green in the sunny state of California, this is one of five trucks and only one of the two duallys that he built. Both of the trucks were completed with V-10 gasoline-powered engines with Paxton superchargers, but the new owner of this one converted it into a 12-valve Cummins powerplant. The current owner used an engine out of the exact year of this truck to boot.
They stated that this Ram 3500 is NOT in showroom condition and it will need TLC to be super nice, but it is covered in all kinds of upgrades and goodies. This includes an Airdog fuel system, a 62-mm turbocharger, an upgraded exhaust manifold, advanced timing, ARP head studs, a Goerend-built automatic transmission, brand-new tires, and more.
With only 100 miles put on the truck since it’s been completed, it still has a fresh life ahead of it on the upgrades. The current owner explained in the listing that this was supposed to be a drive-to-school machine for his kids but they are graduating and there is no need anymore. One man’s old stuff is a new man’s treasure, right?
Who’s ready to take on this project? A little TLC, a little elbow grease, and this thing is ready to take to a show, am I right?
