Many companies use the SEMA Show as an opportunity to introduce new products, so much so that their new product development timeline revolves around it. Check out these five new products from the 2024 SEMA Show that you need to know about if you own a diesel truck.

Gen-Y Hitch: Running Boards

Gen-Y Hitch, best known for its line of truck hitches, has added running boards to its product offerings. These heavy-duty steel running boards feature a unique anti-slip criss-cross patterns that allows debris to fall through instead of gunking-up the step. This design provides maximum traction and keeps you from tracking dirt into your interior (since they’re good for scraping shoes). Starting at $699.97, applications include all your favorite HD diesel trucks: 2017-2024 Ford F-250/F-350 crew cab, 2020-2024 Chevy/GMC 2500HD/3500HD crew cab, and 2011-2024 Ram 2500/3500 crew cab trucks. These 84-inch-long running boards are rated for up to 400 pounds. Made in America, they’re finished with durable black power coating for a look you’re going to love.

CTA Tools: Radiator Pressure Adapter Kit for 6.6-liter V-8 Duramax L5P

CTA Tools introduces its 7124 Radiator Pressure Adapter Kit for GM’s L5P Duramax diesel engine, used for conducting reliable pressure tests on the radiator and cooling systems. The kit includes a right-hand thread adapter (vented cap on the side of the tank that allows for controlled pressure venting) and left-hand thread adapter (sealed, non-vented cap on the top of the tank). The dual-thread design mirrors GM’s design, ensuring compatibility and preventing installation errors. The tools are comparable to GM factory tools GE-52098 and GE-52098-A, and the kit includes both caps.

PPE: Crankcase Ventilation Oil/Water Separation Kit for 3.0-liter I-6 Duramax

Pacific Performance Engineering (PPE) claims its Crankcase Ventilation Oil/Water Separation Kit for the 2020-2025 GM 3.0-liter “baby” Duramax (LM2 and LZ0) ensures cleaner engine components, improved performance, and better fuel economy by preventing damaging carbon buildup caused by oil and hydrocarbons entering the turbo. The kit includes robust hoses and a stainless-steel filter screen that functions to remove oil and water vapor from the PCV system.

PPE: Deep Transmission Pan for 2020+ Ford Super Duty

PPE also unveiled its 10R140 Heavy-Duty Cast Aluminum Deep Transmission Pan for the 2020-and-newer Ford Super Duty with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 (or 6.8- and 7.3-liter gas engines) and 10R140 ten-speed automatic transmission. Seeing various shortcomings with the factory ten-speed’s “disposable plastic” transmission pan (no drain plug, built-in fill port requiring a special tool for adding fluid, and more), PPE proudly offers a solution that increases convenience and performance. PPE’s transmission pan, which adds 8 quarts of extra fluid capacity, features a fluid level check standpipe, integrated cooling fins, and magnetic drain and fill plugs—and even comes with a fluid filling tool.

Inspired Overland: Aero Rover Rooftop Tent

Inspired Overland launches its Aero Rover single-person carbon fiber rooftop tent (RTT) that weighs only 70 pounds—because we all know the weight of overland gear stacks up quickly. The company claims the convenient RTT is easy and quick to set up, allowing more time for adventure. It’s also very durable, constructed with advanced carbon fiber materials. With a unique opening and clever rain fly extension, the Aero Rover is the perfect blend of comfort and exposure to nature for the solo traveler.
