Many truck and off-road enthusiasts agree that the 2020-2022 Ford Power Stroke Super Duty hit a sweet spot for style and capability.
However, one owner decided to skip the newer models and instead build his “absolute dream truck” on this platform. Cody, a member of CJC Off-Road, recently showcased the incredible result of this no-expense-spared project.
A No-Compromise Suspension
The foundation of the build is a Carli 4.5/5.5-inch Dominator suspension system. This setup uses massive King 3.0 shocks, custom-tuned by Carli, to provide a huge amount of suspension travel.
As Cody from CJC explained, the system is designed for dual-purpose use, so “while the customer will be able to go jump this truck on the weekend if he so chooses, it’s still going to ride incredibly well taking the kids to school.”
To complement the shocks, the owner selected every available option, including a Carli torsion sway bar to free up the front-end’s movement and fabricated radius arms for added strength and a custom look.
A set of 20-inch Innovate G700 wheels wrapped in 37×13.50 Toyo RT Trail tires completes the aggressive stance of the truck.
Balancing Towing and Comfort
In the rear, the truck uses a Carli full progressive leaf-spring pack and fabricated shackles to smooth out the ride. To handle heavy loads without sacrificing that comfort, the owner added a Carli long-travel airbag system.
“It allows for essentially no ride loss… which is not normal for essentially any airbag kit on the market,” Cody described regarding the uniqueness of the setup.
This gives the owner full load support for his fifth-wheel trailer when needed. The rear is finished off with a Carli Trophy Hitch, which allows a full-size 37-inch spare to be tucked up under the bed, and a CJC Banks Power Trophy exhaust.
Do-It-All Power Stroke Super Duty Build
This Ford Power Stroke Super Duty is a perfect example of what happens when creative minds and top-tier parts come together to build a truck that can truly do it all without compromise. What are your thoughts on this kind of “no expense spared” super-duty build?
