Ford Motor Company is making waves in the commercial diesel and fleet world with the announcement of Alicia Boler Davis as the new president of Ford Pro, effective October 1. Davis brings more than three decades of experience across the automotive, tech, and customer service sectors, marking a bold step for Ford Pro as it continues expanding its software, service, and gas- and diesel-powered ecosystems.
Ford Pro, known for its commercial-grade trucks and integrated service solutions, has been a major player in the diesel market, particularly with fleet customers who demand reliability, uptime, and a seamless service experience. Under the interim leadership of Andrew Frick, Ford Pro increased market share in both North America and Europe, achieving strong profit margins. Frick will continue leading Ford Blue and Ford Model e.
Now, Ford Pro’s leadership is passing the keys to Davis, a veteran who previously held senior roles at Amazon and General Motors, and most recently served as CEO of Alto Pharmacy.
“Alicia’s unique skillset and experiences make her the ideal leader to guide Ford Pro into the next era—accelerating our move into software and services and growing Ford Pro’s already strong profitability,” said Ford CEO Jim Farley. “She combines deep automotive and technology knowledge with an entrepreneurial and customer-obsessed mindset.”
Davis’ resume is stacked with relevant achievements in the automotive industry. At GM, she led global manufacturing and labor relations, overseeing 22 vehicle launches and managing 150 facilities across 20 countries. At Amazon, she spearheaded logistics and fulfillment during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience honed her focus on operational speed and efficiency, traits highly prized in commercial fleet operations.
For Davis, this appointment is personal. “I’m thrilled to return to a city and an industry that has meant so much to me, and join an iconic company like Ford,” she said. “If I had to create a role in the auto industry that would best utilize my experiences in both automotive and technology, it would be leading Ford Pro at this pivotal time.”
Ford Pro’s ecosystem includes not just trucks, but also fleet management software, parts, and service solutions, making Davis’ tech-forward leadership style especially timely. For diesel enthusiasts, her appointment signals a continued investment in powerful work trucks, supported by smarter tools to keep them running longer and stronger.
With Davis at the wheel, Ford Pro’s commitment to an efficient, connected operation may stand to become the benchmark for diesel fleet management in the years ahead.
