SEMA 2013: Rolling In Style With Weld Racing’s Dually Wheels

When it comes to the “workhorse” of the truck market, it’s hard not to acknowledge the utility of a dually truck. They can carry a large payload with increased stability, but these benefits are offset with the overall vehicle length (excluding the rare short bed dually) and costs of maintenance. So, when you’re buying a dually you generally aren’t doing it because you want to look good. However, most of us here put our trucks through the paces while expecting them to look good doing it.

Over the years, there have been more and more manufacturers offering dually wheels and with the recent explosion of the market, we knew we were going to find some really cool stuff at this year’s SEMA Show. When visited Weld Racing’s booth at the SEMA Show, we managed to find one of the coolest new dually wheels available.

After years of development in the racing industry, Weld Racing introduced a hub-less wheel, which has made a huge impact in drag racing. Well, the same design group that introduced that special wheel, has decided to focus on the dually market and they are announcing their new “Delta One hub-less wheel” for the dually market. These are not only extremely cool, but are very strong, much lighter than a standard wheel and are very durable.

In addition to introducing the “Delta One” line, they are increasing the size offerings on all of their dually wheels. Due to their overwhelming customer demand, they will be offering a 20-inch in every single design of their wheels. This means that now you have the option between a 17-inch, 19.5-inch and 20-inch for your dually.

Another huge achievement is their new in-house coating. The Advanced Tactical Coating (ATC) is a nano-ceramic coating that is extremely shiny and resilient. With this coating, your wheels will be able to be cleaned and polished right back to brand new condition for years to come. No longer will the wheels look dull after spending their first winter outside. After two years of research and development, the ATC has been proven to have a high resistance to scratching, will stay shiny and vibrant, and continue to help keep the wheels looking new. Stay tuned for more!
