If you are looking for something unique and fun, here you go. We just found this 1947 International Harvester KB-7 on eBay. Not only is it super cool, but it was restored not too long ago from what we can tell.
It appears to be an extremely clean truck with only 3,438 miles since it was restored. The 12 valve Cummins is backed by what appears to be a 5 speed manual. When looking closer, there isn’t a clutch pedal on the floor and the listing has it has an Allison automatic.
According to their listing:
International Harvester (IH), now known as Navistar International Corp., made farming and agricultural machines and equipment since the early 1900s. IH eventually decided to lend its hand in manufacturing work trucks and even off-road vehicles. The K models were IH’s pickup line. The KB series added wings on the sides of the grill, a wrap-around chrome piece on the front hood, a hood ornament and chrome lettering indicating the model designation below the International nameplate on each side of the hood.
The exterior is a fantastic two-tone yellow and black. The upper body is a vibrant yellow and the lower half is an elegant black. The dual chrome stacked exhaust behind the cab looks brand new. The bed has a durable, refinished metal liner, and the wood paneling around the bed gives a rustic feel to this modernized truck. The tires are 245/70 R 19.5 inches, and they are adorned with new Phoenix USA wheels. The front Harvester emblem above the grill is original, and the chrome brightwork shines in the sunlight.
The interior displays all the work that went into the extensive refinishing process, yet the door and window handles are original, leaving some pieces of early post-war era behind to enjoy. The bench seat is a newer black vinyl and will comfortably seat the driver and passenger. The horn is inoperable. The gauges are upgraded to the brand Stewart Warner and measure oil pressure, water temperature, volts, fuel, MPH and RPM. Sony Xplod speakers and Sony head unit are installed.
