If you are having one of those days and need a pick me up, here you go. Just remember things could always get worse. We can hear it now, “mayday, mayday, Hummer going down.”
Many of us have or do play in the mud when we get a chance and quite a few of us have sunk their trucks from time to time. So, don’t take this article wrong. We probably would have been right behind these guys, but we weren’t, so it’s all fun. Having been buried in the past, we know the true pain is when you get home and have to pull the entire interior out, wash the inside of the truck out, dry all of the electronics, then wash the interior and hope it dries out before you need the truck the next day. To make things worse for this poor guy, his buddy made a video and posted it on YouTube for all of us to enjoy.
Perhaps next time, when there is a sign saying Road Closed, he will stop and think about why it might be closed. By looking at the vehicle, we can see there is no fording kit installed on the truck. So, it probably isn’t designed to go through water much higher than the center line of the tires, let alone a pit this deep.
Lucky for him, there was another truck with a pretty long strap to pull him out. Judging by how many times the truck had to pull, the Jeeps in the area probably would have had a very difficult time if they could have even been able to get him out at all.
