AIRAID’s Simple Solution To Competition Filtering

AIRAID_Race_Day_Thumbnail_Rotator

When we are at the track, the goal is usually maximum performance. One thing that many of us are guilty of, is pulling the air filter off of our turbochargers or superchargers to make sure our they get as much air as possible.

AIRAID_Track_DayWhen you really think about it; that is probably one of the worst things we can do… when it is one of the best times for something to go wrong. Our chargers are spinning at 100 plus thousand RPMs and it wouldn’t take something very big to fly in for things to end badly.

Realizing this, AIRAID has recently released two versions of track filters. One is just a metal screen to keep out the larger debris (pictured above with a light inside to illustrate that lack of a filter element) and the other is a track day filter designed specifically for high flow. With how expensive chargers are, this might be a simple and good idea to have for the weekends!

Below is the official release:

High-performance engines have enormous airflow needs, and racers are always looking for a little something extra that will give them an edge over the competition. AIRAID’s new Track Day and Race Day filters were built with racers in mind. Track Day Filters are designed for maximum flow while maintaining particulate protection. For those wanting the maximum in airflow on Race Day, then AIRAID’s Race Day Filters are for you.

Track Day Filters feature the same quality construction as our regular air filters, including sturdy polyurethane casings, wire mesh construction, and layers of high flow cotton gauze. They are designed to provide restriction-free airflow while still maintaining adequate filtration. Track Days Filters are shipped dry but can be oiled by the end user if desired.

Race Day Filters are designed strictly to keep large debris out of the engine. Constructed with sturdy polyurethane casings and a durable wire mesh screen, they are built without any filtration media. Race Day Filters are intended for race day only and should only be used at on concrete or asphalt racing surfaces such as a drag strip or road course.

Both Track Day and Race Day filters are manufactured in the USA and are backed by a 90-day warranty. These filters are not intended for street use and are not recommended for any off-the-shelf Cold Air Intake system that will be used in anything other than a controlled racing environment.
