There is no doubt that there are struggles going on within the diesel performance industry. With the emissions regulations and feeling that the government is watching over the performance manufacturers with a microscope hoping to penalize any wrong doings, a lot of manufacturers are diversifying their product lines into other non-diesel platforms.
So, it was nice to see a company like MBRP, who manufactures a wide range of products for both gas and diesel, to be offering new products for the diesel market. We caught up with Jesse Rohr, the Sales and Marketing Director for MBRP and asked him if he could walk us through their new products.
“We saw that 6.0 and 6.4 liter Power Strokes were having up-pipe issues and are happy to offer a solution for them,” said Rohr. This year MBRP is introducing new up-pipes for the 6.0 and 6.4 liter Power Stroke engines that feature more robust bellows that can handle the environment better.
In addition to the new up-pipes, they are releasing a DPF back exhaust system for the RAM EcoDiesel 1500 trucks. The new system is direct bolt on and emissions legal.
There was, also, a whole slew of new intercooler tubing on display. MBRP is now offering intercooler tubing for the 2013 through 2015 Ford Super Duty equipped with a 6.7 Power Strokes. They, also, have intercooler tubing for 2011 through 2015 GM powered trucks with the 6.6 Duramax. All of these are CNC formed for a precise fit.
While MBRP isn’t offering solutions to get your truck to 1,000 horsepower directly, it is nice to see that they are still offering high quality product that will bolt right in and fix many of the current issues.
