Depending on where you live and what stage of life you are in, the question, what does it mean to be a farmer may have a different meaning. One thing for sure is, the first minute of this video will ring true.

John Dinsmore owner of Dinsmore Farms conducted this interview with Rigid Industries in one take. There is no coaching, no scripts, no prep, just John being John. His passion and love for farming comes through extremely well.

Anyone who has lived in a hot climate or had to work in a hot climate will certainly tell you how important it is to start early or work late. For many farmers they simply cannot pick and choose when they work. If there is light, they need to operate their equipment. John, has found that with the proper lighting, he no longer is at the mercy of the sun.

Through the selection of Rigid Industries lighting, he has been able to up fit their tractors, balers and other farm equipment to be able to work at night. John mentions specifically, being able to rake hay at night, which isn’t very easy to do, unless you can really see what you are doing.

He even mentioned the ability to spray a field at night more efficiently. With lighting on the nozzles, they can ensure that they are working right and laying down the amount of chemical needed.

“Rigid Industries has basically revolutionized what we are able to do and operate on the farm,” mentioned John.

There are thousands of people out there with kind hearts busting their butts to make a living. For us, it is nice to see some of them get some notoriety. Rigid Industries heard about John and his success with their lights through one of their distributors. John isn’t paid to run or sponsored the lights. For him, it was a smart financial choice and one that allows him to make more money working the hours that work best for him and his farm.
