Always Watching: Why Every Vehicle Needs An EZ LYNK AutoAgent

The AutoAgent from EZ LYNK is the most advanced vehicle diagnostics device to ever hit the automotive market. This device is plugged into your vehicle’s OBD-II port under the dash and communicates with your smartphone via a free mobile app for a handheld gauge cluster and also delivers updated calibrations to your ride.

Why do you need an Auto Agent? For starters, a few scenarios come to mind. Have you ever had your car or truck have an issue and after you’ve done your digging were unable to come up with anything? Or say you ran the car or truck down to a mechanic while it was having said issue and as you pulled in, it was fine. In another scenario, I personally know someone who’d taken a truck to the local dealership only to have it take weeks to order parts and resolve issues.

There are many updates upcoming for multiple brands and models. 2011-2019 Ford’s can readjust tire sizes, gear ratio, and the TPMS. For the 2011-2016 Duramax trucks there are updates to make DTE correct, and so much more.

What if you could have a mechanic with you at home, right there at the truck remotely. That’s right, call up “your guy” and have him tap into your truck remotely and datalog, diagnose, and possibly resolve your issue with an ECM calibration right there in minutes. You can with EZ LYNK’s Auto Agent. Not only would this save you time from travel to and from the repair shops, but it is faster and will save you money too.

As mentioned before, the AutoAgent connects to the OBD-II port and broadcasts a Wi-Fi access point which allows a wireless connection to the vehicle using any iOS or Android device. By launching the free EZ LYNK application, your engine data is seamlessly streamed to the phone or other smart devices. The AutoAgent also has the capability to re-calibrate the vehicle system controllers with ECU profiles shared by technicians.

From a technician’s standpoint, the EZ LYNK cloud is easy to manage. They can control all of their customers’ vehicles and all of the data associated with them. For those of you who’re used to transferring engine profiles via email and/or USB connection, forget about it. The ability to share engine profiles via the cloud eliminates user-error from the equation.

On the other side of things, the end-user can conveniently share their data logs and other vehicle information to any technician with the touch of a finger without even leaving the driver seat. Data logs can be quickly started and stopped from the main gauge display screen and bookmarks can be added to draw interest to the specific points of a datalog if desired.

A fully customizable user interface allows the end-user to create a gauge interface that suits their particular needs. Technicians can also create default PID configurations that are automatically loaded during a reflash procedure to further assist in the troubleshooting and diagnostic process.

LIVE DATA – Stream and monitor data not available on your vehicle’s factory instrument panel.
DIAGNOSTICS CONTROL – Read and clear diagnostic trouble codes with the tap of a finger.
TECHNICIAN LYNK – Lynk your vehicle with a registered technician to send and receive data in real-time.
REFLASH CAPABILITIES – Quickly and easily program your vehicle using ECU profiles created by your technician.

Believe it or not, one of our friends over at BD Diesel Performance, Harald Harks, ran into some trouble while out on the road. Harks is an over-the-road salesman for BD and travels in and out of the United States all year long. With a completely loaded Sundowner 40′ toy hauler, Harks needs a truck that can get product in and out of Canada safely and reliably.

“I love that we have EZ LYNK’s AutoAgent on this truck. We’re currently using one specific calibration on this truck but what I love is that we can store as many as we want and change things up for different situations,” said Harks. “Another really cool feature about this is the fact that we can sync our phones to the truck and read the data live like gauges, you know?”

Harald actually ran into some trouble with transmission tuning and being out on the road away from maybe his specific mechanic, he just needed to find a technician associated with EZ LYNK and he could diagnose and recalibrate it right there and he was back on the road. Once they got the truck figured out, they had him back on the road in no time.

Closing Thoughts

Simply put, life is just easier when an AutoAgent is on board. The ease of use, the time and money saved if needed, it is a win-win. This goes for just a normal Joe that isn’t looking for calibrations for his vehicles. It still applies but for those of you who are looking to recalibrate and hone in on the perfect running vehicle with your own mechanic, it doesn’t get any easier than this.

If you’re within the year range that these products fit, there is no doubt that we think everyone should have an AutoAgent.
