What happens when a general contractor who has a lifelong passion for lifted trucks hooks up with a marketing promoter who has an unquenchable zeal for building next-level custom trucks? Like a kid with unmitigated access to the cookie jar, things go unapologetically overboard.
Culver, Oregon-based Luke Middleton, a general contractor who owns a business named Ace of Trades, connected with truck builder and promoter Truck Guru to build this beautifully lifted 2023 Ford F-250 Limited. Built in a small shop by Middleton himself (minus the paint), the high-output turbodiesel 6.7-liter V8 Power Stroke’d Super Duty stands tall, bright, and loud as the quintessential SEMA Show truck. While it’s fit for parades and the show circuit (Middleton is apparently a Culver City Councilmember), it’s still his work truck during the week, complete with a Gen-Y Hitch drop hitch and stabilizer bars for towing duty.
The party started with a huge 10-inch suspension lift kit sourced from Wicked Manufacturing. A towering lift doesn’t pair well with itty-bitty wheels and tires, so next came massive 26-inch TIS 544 wheels (-76 offset) wrapped in 40×15.50R26 Venom Power Terra Hunter M/T tires, complete with True Spike lug nuts. Next Level Mats cab step pads help occupants safely enter and exit the large truck, while a flush bed cover keeps bed cargo safe — as if anyone could even see what was in the bed to begin with. Likewise, only from an aerial view, you’d notice the Cervini Cowl induction hood.
Middleton opted to retain the factory front and rear bumpers. Custom PPG paint was done by Senen Ortiz at Madras Body, Paint and Glass. The custom painted plastics, mirrors, fender badges, wiper cowl, front bumper, rear bumper and steps, bed steps, fog light surrounds, headlights, and taillights add subtle classiness to the already-plush Limited.
An array of lighting additions and upgrades spill forth majesty: 26 KC HiLites Cyclone V2 rock lights; quad-row wheel lights; Baja Designs linkable seven-light front light bar; Baja Designs front fog light kit; Baja Designs S2 lights in the bed steps; white LED-converted headlights (from factory amber LEDs); Limitless Autoworks strobe kits for all exterior LED lights (including mirrors); Boost Auto white LED Switchback mirror lights; and BMC Lights hitch bar reverse lights. You can probably see this thing from space.
Audible cues augment the visual effects. An eight-horn HornBlasters air horn spare tire delete kit (with six horns in the rear and two in front) make the truck sound like a train. Inside the cab, subwoofers and an amp rack from Sounds Good Stereo keep the party vibes strong. A 5-inch full stainless Flo-Pro Performance Exhaust system adds a throaty rumble.
Middleton thanks his family for all of their support, God (for blessing him with the ability to build this 2023 Ford F-250), Cliff Dwy, Kevin Green, and Matt St. Clair.
