Every week we choose a Ride Of The Week (ROTW). These are cool vehicles that you, Diesel Army’s reader’s own and drive. These aren’t crazy company built rigs that cost ¼ million to build. These are rides that your fellow enthusiast own.
This week we couldn’t help but pick David Olson. There is just something sexy about his 2011 GMC 2500HD Denali that is just eye catching. The truck itself has been well taken care of and is used regularly. “I bought the truck with the intent to do something different that you don’t see every day on the road in Minnesota as a daily driver and play truck,” said Olson.
While the truck is mainly used for a daily driver, he does likes to play in the snow, haul his toys around and who knows what else he does that he forgot to mention!
Enough with the talk, lets get down to what is giving this truck such a sexy look!
For starters, the truck has a 7.5 inch Rough Country Lift to clear the 20” KMC Wheels, XD Series wheels mated to Dick Cepek 35/12.5R20’s.
Not wanting to get shown up by some little rice rocket (do they have those in Minnesota?) Olson opted to install an H&S Performance Mini Maxx programmer, swapped the factory intake out for an aFe Power cold air intake, and installed a 5” MBRP exhaust system.
On the interior, with the truck being a Denali, it is pretty well equipped. Olson mentioned it was “loaded to the gills,” to be precise.
