On site this year at SEMA was BodyArmor 4×4 that had a wide range of accessories for both light trucks and the Jeep market. To get the full briefing on their new releases this year, we spoke with Jeff Neubauer, Division Manager for BodyArmor 4×4.
First up was some accessories for the Ford Raptor including tubular front and rear bumpers, side rails, and chase racks. Constructed of mild steel and built in America, they are designed with performance and customization in mind. Neubauer added, “The Raptor product line, called the ‘Desert Series’ is designed around the look and feel of the desert racing community with tubular construction. It ends up being a heavy lifestyle vehicle where their function ends up driving the design. The Raptor accessories will be shipping first quarter of 2015.”
For the Jeep JK market, on had was a new front and rear bumper along with a new set of trail doors. “Our very popular Jeep doors have great fit and finish thanks to our domestic production. The front bumper has a ton of features built into it like the ability to mount lights and a winch whereas the rear bumper has the ability to mount a 35-inch spare and fuel cans,” said Neubauer.
Another style of bumper was on-hand and mounted to a Ram 2500 with a considerably more beefy look – yet still retaining key functionality like backup sensors. Neubauer explained,“The Dodge bumpers we affectionately call ‘the Redneck Series’ because the people that buy these want protection and a meaty bumper. It has an optional, bolt-on pre runner bar to protect the lights if the customer wants that feature.”
