From the company started decades ago by a true sportsman and off-road enthusiast comes a new tire and a line of new wheels for light trucks and SUVs. We talked with Ben Anderson to get the lowdown on the new tire, the Dick Cepek Extreme Country.

“It’s obvious by the tread design that the all-new Extreme Country is a mud-terrain tire, but it can also be very versatile in its performance. The voids are tight in the center, giving it better handling and a quieter ride on the highway.”

“However, on the outside edge of the Extreme Country, you’ll find very aggressive lugs for more bite in the mud and excellent traction while cornering off road. And we have 21 sizes in that tire so it should cover just about any application.”

Carl Robinson walked us through the new line of Dick Cepek wheels. “There are three wheels in the new collection, the DC matrix, DC Terrain, and the DC Blackout. The DC Matrix will be offered in a wide variety of fitments in 17-, 18-, and 20-inch sizes.”

“The DC Terrain will be made in fitments for a number of trucks including GM, Ford, Toyota, and Nissan. Our new DC Blackout is a re-birth of the DC2, with new offsets for the newer trucks. All the wheels come with a two-stage clearcoat and the result is a matte finish that is durable and good looking.”

“These wheels are targeted at the outdoor sportsmen, like the angler who spends a lot of time on dirt roads and on the highway. Our new website has a ‘Buy Now’ feature that allows you to click on the product you’re interested in and then it takes you to a list of retailers that can supply you with that wheel.”
