Stopping at the Magnaflow booth at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, we got the inside scoop on what’s new for 2016 with the aftermarket performance exhaust manufacturer. Built specifically for 2011 to 2015 F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty truck applications, we spoke with Magnaflow regarding their diesel particulate filter-back (DPF) exhaust kits.
“We are definitely pushing our all stainless DPF exhaust kits moving forward,” said Javier Padilla, account manager at Magnaflow. “The kits feature 400 series stainless steel and mandrel-bent tubing.”
In particular, the DPF exhaust systems are designed to replace all components from the OEM catalytic converter and particulate filter all the way to the tailpipe. Its straight through perforated core design muffler helps reduce restriction, resulting in increased efficiency, reliability, and modest power gains.
Other exhaust systems were on display, but the DPF exhaust kit was the primary focus.
The Black series Magnaflow DPF kits feature a black coated tailpipe, which is single wall intercooler, and fitted with a black coated tip. The High Temp Stain Black coating on each DPF kit has a one-year warranty on the finish, keeping your exhaust hidden from plain sight and giving off-road and diesel trucks one less part to clean after hitting the mud or dirt. In addition, the finish provides more protection than the other exhaust kits Magnaflow is offering.
With a lifetime construction warranty, Magnaflow’s DPF exhaust kits are for 2007 to present diesel applications and are made right here in the United States.
