For quite some time, Bully Dog and SCT has been offering us coverage for our trucks when it comes to performance programmers. But, it just wasn’t enough. They’re after the best of the best and it looks as if they have stepped into that direction by now offering custom tunability software for the RAM HD trucks from 2013 to 2018 on their handhelds.

We caught up with the Calibrations Team Lead, Jonathan Kitchens, to discuss this big news from the Bully Dog SCT team. “We can take your Cummins-powered RAM truck from the years 2013 to 2018, using one of our Bully Dog or SCT BDX tuners, and offer multiple tuning options,” Kitchens said. “Not only are you getting the already preloaded tunes that come on the box but you’re also getting the custom tuning option we have released.

“Our dealers can take your trucks information, plug it in, and calibrate virtually everything. In fact, with this software, there are roughly 1500 calibratables at their disposal,” Kitchens said. “This also doesn’t require a Wi-Fi function, either. When you update through the SCT Updater, it will just automatically pull everything down from the dongle to your hard drive.”

With this kind of control, you and your tuner can work together and fine-tune the performance of your truck for multiple situations.
