If I had to take a guess, I would say most of you would are pretty brand loyal to what you use every day. You like a certain brand, you stick with it. When it comes to engine oil, that is usually the case too. In our diesel community, there are options out there but some familiar faces are choosing AMSOIL and we wanted to find out why.

Last year’s racing season was the first year that I remember seeing AMSOIL marketed pretty heavily in the Outlaw Diesel Super Series and abroad. I started seeing banners, stickers on trucks, and tags on social media platforms. They are doing their part in getting involved in events and that has led to some healthy relationships with some people you may have heard of.

Ben Shadday- Done Right Diesel 1963 Cummins-Powered Corvette

You may remember seeing a little short, white Dodge Ram pickup truck running the SunCoast Pro Mod class in the Outlaw Diesel Super Series a few years back. Shadday’s Ram was always one of the cleanest units at every track and it always had everyone watching. Fire shooting out of the hood, sometimes huge wheel stands, and always putting up a good fight down the track.

Unfortunately, Shadday parted ways with this truck after last year’s season ended and we thought that maybe that was it for a while. I am pleased to announce that that isn’t the case because Shadday and his team at Done Right have been working tirelessly to finally reveal their newest hot rod. The Done Right Diesel 1963 Split-Window Corvette is getting the finishing touches.

“With all this recent downtime, we decided that we just couldn’t leave the Pro Mod world alone. Most of you knew that we sold last year’s truck and considered sitting out this year, but plans have changed,” Shadday says. “We are excited to announce that we will be following the Outlaw Diesel Super Series SunCoast Performance Pro Mod class again this year.”

Greg Alberalla- Multiple Builds YouTube

If you’re into diesel trucks and YouTube, chances are you’ve seen a few of Alberalla’s videos. Multiple different projects ranging from the early stages of RAM trucks all the way up to almost brand new. I talked with Alberalla about the products he uses and it seems like he’s using just about everything they offer.

“I use AMSOIL in pretty much everything I own, top to bottom. All of the diesel trucks I have, my wife’s car, the pit vehicle we have, and even my lawnmower,” Alberalla says. “More specifically, I use their 15-40 diesel oil in mostly all of my trucks. For the racing-oriented engines, I use their competition diesel oil and their filters. Other than oil, all of my vehicles use their gear oils, fuel additives, cleaners, and protectants.”

Over time, using these products and the viewers following, it didn’t go unnoticed.
