You’ve done all of the modifications this winter to prepare for the next season, patiently waiting to show off the new found horsepower and torque. The National Hot Rod Diesel Association (NHRDA) has just released the 2017 drag racing and sled pulling schedule.
It’s time for all the countless hours and money spent to put your truck to the test. For all of you drag racing fans whether you are racing or just enjoy watching the ground pounding diesel trucks, this year’s classes include 10.90 index, Super Diesel, Super Street, Pro Street, Pro Stock and Top Diesel classes.
Coming back by popular demand on the drag strip is the Hot Rod Semi class where Jim Disher and Rick Fenwick plan to battle it out again this year on the 1320. Also returning is the always competitive sportsman class. Will Scott McKinstry continue to dominate in 2017?
The battle on dirt will continue this year as well with 2.5, limited pro stock, pro stock, and super stock classes. After an absolutely dominating 2016 who will be the driver to knock on Jim Greenway’s door? The 2017 championship is up for grabs for all the events.
Contingency is still an option for those of you that are interested in using the sponsor products and display their decals on your race vehicles. The contingency program is free and easy to do, just sign up at the track prior to the event. Bring the family out this year and enjoy the baddest diesel trucks on the planet, you won’t want to miss it! For more information on NHRDA’s season be sure to check out its website.
