An Interior Upgrade We Can All Use In Our Trucks

If you’re like me, you at least try to keep the interior of your truck somewhat clean. But many times, that is a tough job — especially if you’re climbing in and out of your truck in areas other than a paved parking lot. Let’s face it, trying to vacuum sand and dirt from the carpet in your truck can be tedious. I run into this very off-road situation quite often and needed an interior upgrade that will keep the dirt from getting embedded into the carpet and OE floor mats of Project WorkHorse. While looking for a solution, I happened to learn about Flextread floormats.

I know, floor mats are not a very glamorous subject and they will not help your truck perform any better. However, they are your first defense to keep your truck’s carpet in good shape. While a cheap box-store floor might help catch some dirt before it gets into your carpet, they will never work as well as the Flextread floormats.

Interior upgrade

Flextread mats are designed to replace your OE mat, not install on top of it. They are held in position just like your OE mats but offer much better protection.

When I first purchased WorkHorse, I went the route of adding some store-bought mats over the OE mats to help protect them, but it was a futile attempt as the new mats simply moved around the floor and really didn’t add any protection.

As soon as I learned about Flextread, I found out they are not your typical department store floor mats. Flextread is a rubber-like, flexible PVC mat that incorporates deep channels and pockets that resemble truck tire treads. These pockets not only add a cool look to your interior, but they are also designed to capture and confine dirt and debris and keep it from getting ground into your carpet. The best part is, with the dirt captured in the mat, simply remove them from your truck and dump the dirt out of the treads.

Flextread floormats are designed and made in the USA and have well-defined backing tips that help keep the mat from moving around on your carpet. They are vehicle-specific and also utilize the OE securing pins already on the floor of your car. Depending on your truck, you can get licensed logos added as well.

As you can see by the photos, the mats are shaped and do fit like the OE floormats but the protection they offer is exponentially greater than the OE mats. What’s more, the tread pattern looks cool, and they are available for almost every year, make, and model truck. Taking care of these mats is a breeze — cleaning them requires nothing more than soap and water, ensuring hassle-free upkeep.

Held in place with the OE retaining tabs, the Flextread mats are an easy upgrade that will surely protect your truck carpeting.

If you’re ready to protect the carpeting in your truck, it’s time for an interior upgrade and for you to check out Flextread floor mats and keep the inside of your truck looking the best it can.
