If you’re like me, there are times when you not only want to add products to your truck to enhance performance, but sometimes adding a few bits and pieces simply to improve the look of your truck is not a bad thing. I admit, I like to add modifications to help WorkHorse look great, and one day I was surfing the web and found some really cool custom carbon fiber valve covers from Old Skool Fab.

I immediately fell down the rabbit hole thinking about the possible upgrades I could add to WorkHorse. Old Skool Fab deals in custom-made carbon fiber components, and the valve covers are the first thing that caught my eye.

According to Randy Davis of Old Skool Fab, “my carbon-fiber covers are 100-percent handmade. The common distinction between the covers is the basic shape, and there are several weave options to choose from. You can choose the traditional carbon weave, a honeycomb (wasp weave), or a “shredded look” weave. You have options.

The valve covers come with your choice of two styles of vent bungs and they can be placed in different areas depending on the customer’s setup. Most aluminum covers do not offer that option. The valve covers weigh roughly 4 pounds, and the hardware and -12 AN male bungs are custom-made for each cover. All hardware and bungs are O-ringed to ensure no leaks.

Heat is not an issue, as these covers are post heat treated to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. For you 2003 through 2005 Cummins guys, Old Skool Fab has even developed a wiring harness that will adapt to the ’03-’05 Cummins 5.9.
